Making pairs of numbers (adding 2 numbers together)

Today our Superman maths group were learning all about pairs of numbers.  For example there are lots of pairs of numbers that make 14: 0 + 14, 1 + 13, 2 + 12, 3 + 11, 4 + 10, 5 + 9, 6 + 8, 7 + 7, 8 + 6, 9 + 5, 10 + 4, 11 + 3, 12 + 2, 13 + 1 and 14 + 0.

Today our whizz kids were learning how to make a number using pairs of numbers.  Here are some photos of them hard at work:

Keira and Faith work out what happens when you have 7 + 3 more... Kahjaden was supervising.

Eve demonstrates to Amelia what she has been learning to do...great work Eve!
Working together to find out what happens when the number 10 has two pairs (4 + 6)
