The Awesome Gibbons

After the Living Room, Tom took us up to the Gibbons enclosure, the female Gibbon is the cream coloured one and the male Gibbon is the black and white Gibbon hanging out on the ropes.

Tom threw a parcel of leaves and flax into the enclosure and we watched the lady of the manor go and retrieve it.  Do you know that Gibbon's wrists are too flexible to knuckle walk which is why you will always see them walking around with their hands or arms up.

Here are some photos of that experience:

Can you spot the female Gibbon through the trees?

  1. Well don't Room 2 - looks like it was a great learning and fun experience at the Zoo.
