Samoan Language Week in Kowhai - Monday 30 May

This week our teachers are all sharing activities with the awesome kids from Kowhai to celebrate Samoan Language Week.  Every afternoon from 2-3pm we go to different classes to learn more about an aspect of life in Samoa.   Here are the activities that Room 2 have been up to so far this week to celebrate Samoan Language Week:

Class Dojo - an update!

After speaking with a number of you lovely parents at the recent Parent Teacher Interviews it came to my attention that knowing the weighting of each area of points was probably quite useful.  So as promised, here are two screenshots that show the newly adjusted weighting of each point area.  I have also included the behaviours for which students lose points and the weighting of these also.  Any questions please don't hesitate to ask or message me on ClassDojo.

Kind regards
A voiceless Mrs C.

Malachi Making Mechanical Machines

Here is a photo of Malachi with his robot.  He was really proud to show me this creative structure and will be back to tell you more about his robot.

Since this last post there have been many creations that the Superheroes of Room 2 have been proud to show off.  More of these will be added next week when I am back in full swing.

Room 2 Pepeha

In Room 2 we have been learning our Pepeha.  We decided to convey this in our own artwork, uniquely tied to who we are.  Our artwork is on display this evening in the hall for you to come and see.  Just incase you couldn't make it up to see our art on display Mrs C went over to take a photo of what you would have seen...

We wanted to go a step further and share our pepeha with you using the app Explain Everything.  We will add more as they are completed but here are a few for you to enjoy.
